Does the wind sensor work automatically, or do I have to turn it on?

Automatic — once configured, the wind sensor monitors conditions continuously and retracts the awning without any action from you. You can also override it manually at any time via the remote. In the event of a power outage, there is a manual crank override built in.

Can an awning be mounted on a roof instead of a wall?

Yes — SummerSpace awnings offer roof mount configurations for situations where wall clearance is insufficient or the preferred mounting surface is the roof fascia. We assess your specific structure at the in-home consultation and confirm the right mounting approach before any quote is finalized.
